Moscow's electric river trams
Moscow has modern electric river trams that run all year round. Fares depend on the season (summer or winter) and on how you pay:
Summer season (end of April to mid-October):
- Troika card: 330 roubles on weekdays / 500 roubles at weekends
- Bank card: 380 roubles on weekdays / 550 roubles at weekends
- Face Pay (biometric payment): 230 roubles on weekdays / 400 roubles at weekends — the cheapest option
Winter season (mid-October to end of April):
Prices are much lower during this period:
- Troika card: 100 roubles on weekdays / 145 roubles at weekends
- Bank card: 120 roubles on weekdays / 170 roubles at weekends
- Face Pay (biometric payment): 100 roubles on weekdays / 145 roubles at weekends
Note for travellers: in Russia weekdays are Monday to Friday, and the weekend is Saturday and Sunday.
